Physical activity tied to less diabetes in at-risk population

People at high risk of diabetes, would benefit from walking more throughout the day.
A Study by Dr.Amanda Fretts, a researcher at the university of Wasington in Seattle, showed that even light activity is associated with a lower risk of diabetes, and increased physical activity may prevent weight gain and promote weight loss, a major determinant of diabetes risk.

Conclusion of the study:

Modest levels of physical activity are associated with a lower risk of incident diabetes, compared with lower levels of activity.
